American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) The American College of Thessaloniki (ACT) is the university division of Anatolia, a private, not-for-profit educational institution founded in 1886. ACT is an independent American university chartered by the State of Massachusetts and accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE). ACT also holds EU program v9bav0015alidation and has been granted a license by the Greek government to operate as a private post-secondary College.

The comprehensive undergraduate curriculum leads to Bachelor (BA and BS) degrees in various disciplines including Business (with Concentrations in Finance, International Business, Management, and Marketing), International Relations, English (with Concentrations in Language & Literature and in Communication & New Media), and Business & Computing. A graduate Master’s program in Business Administration (MBA) offers concentrations in Banking and Finance, Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing.

ACT is located on a 45 acre campus in Thessaloniki, Greece and its facilities represent a true, state-of-the-art, college campus. The school draws students from Greece (45%), the U.S. (25%), Southeast Europe (25%) and beyond (5%) with more than 20 distinct nationalities typically represented on campus from countries as far as Australia, Norway and Brazil. ACT has a vibrant Study Abroad program enrolling over 200 students annually from the U.S. in semester and special programs. Alumni normally continue their studies at leading universities in Europe and the United States including in prior years at Oxford, LSE, Johns Hopkins, and Harvard. Others pursue work opportunities and many hold leadership positions with various organizations in Greece, Europe and the U.S. ACT has now more than 2,300 alums in over 25 countries.

ACT is a Regional CISCO Academy training individuals and organizations in the latest technologies in computer networking. Under the aegis of the Michael and Kitty Dukakis Center for Public and Humanitarian Service and the Anatolia Institute of Management Leadership Institute, ACT organizes and hosts numerous conferences, colloquia and lectures covering a wide range of subjects (Economic Crisis, Green Growth, Retail Markets and Commercial Real Estate, Entrepreneurship, Automotive Business and Design, Managerial Leadership, etc), and involving not only academia and the student body but the local and international business community, governmental agencies and NGOs and the community at large. In recent years more than 100 renowned academics and industry and political leaders have participated in these events including Alvaro deSoto, Nicholas Burns, Monteagle Stearns, Edi Rama, Nikiforos Diamandouros, Radmila Sekerenska, Ducan Batakovic, Eugene Skolnikoff, James Veras, Thea Halo, Dickran Kouymjian, and Nicholas Burbules.
